Abstract

As the need for grief and loss education and interventions become more prevalent in our society, it will become increasingly important for health care professionals to be well-versed in a compilation of holistic expertise. As we bear witness to pain and suffering associated to loss, we must address these issues. This article specifically addresses the use of humor as a therapeutic mechanism for coping and surviving loss. This is an exploration of the universal and often healing effectiveness of humor.
